negg® successfully passed the Surveillance Audit for both ISO 9001 and 27001.   ISO 9001 and ISO 27001-certified organizations are scrutinized by an independent auditor every year to confirm their continued discipline and commitment to meet, respectively, Quality Management System and Information Security Management System standards.

On 13 and 14 December, our Company passed review by a CSQA auditor with flying colours. This is a big deal – not just for us, but also for all the customers that rely on us.

We succeeded in getting our ISO9001 and ISO27001 certifications in 2017 (on our first try) and showed during the last surveillance that this was not just a flurry of activity to get a piece of paper. From IT to Administration to HR to Operations, our people take this stuff seriously all day every day – sometimes even saying no to our own clients to protect them from themselves.

Over recent years, we have been able to promote ourselves as a reference point for computer security in the new digital era, embodying the best of "Cybersecurity Made in Italy".  For this very reason, last year we decided to embark on a journey to become certified according to the leading global standard for Quality Management System, UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and Information Security Management System, ISO/IEC 27001. The main reason behind that decision was that quality management and information security are not just about the quality and IT – they are also about people’s behaviour, processes and organizational controls. As we grow in staff, customer base and international footprint, making sure that everyone does things right every time becomes increasingly important. And if (if) there is even a minor potential incident, we take the right steps to resolve and report the situation and prevent it in the future. ISO forces you to think and act. It keeps you on your toes as business and technology evolves rapidly. Not just as a standard, but as a set of mandatory periodical ceremonies.

We consider it an important outcome for our Company, after a year of growth and renovation. Now we can start the new year with an even more positive attitude and the strongest commitment to face new ambitious and tangible goals.
